Hot and Bothered about Christmas in July?
I am not a big fan of “Christmas in July” more shopping, gifts, ugly sweaters……so NOT for me.
I do “get” the need for celebrating and keeping cool during the summer months. Perhaps “bhavanize” or visualize? In fact, just thinking or reading about the cool weather “can take your mind off the thermometer, evoking one's own experience of ice and snow," says Walter A. Brown, a clinical professor of psychiatry at the medical schools of Brown and Tufts Universities and an expert in the placebo effect.
So PLEASE don’t get all hot and bothered if you disagree with me Christmas in July. Why not practice some Yoga/Ayurveda wisdom and take a sip of cucumber mint water, spritz yourself with some rosewater hydrosol, practice some sitali cooling breath and read this article from the California College of Ayurveda while sitting in the shade with your feet soaking in some cool water!
On second thought, if you missed the holidays with friends and family in 2020 due to COVID, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
